150 parties have express their interest on High Speed Rail (HSR) and responded to Request For Information (RFI) phase. Some of the keen participants are from China, Middle East, Japan, Europe and North America.
Land Transport Authority (LTA) and Malaysia’s Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) received the overwhelming response as of 6PM last friday while it’s only 9 days after the invitations. Both SPAD and LTA are very pleased with the responses so far. All parties will have a time limit until next month to submit their feedback. RFI phase for High Speed Rail (HSR) project is expected to completed at the end of the year.
Among the companies who are keen to participate on the project are Kawasaki Heavy Industries who are involved in the Japan Sinkansen project and Alstom who are involved in French high speed rail.
